About Us

Located in Indianapolis, Indiana, Precision Propeller Industries, Inc. opened in 1969 as only a propeller repair company.  In 1980, we produced our first one piece investment cast TURBO Prop.  Today, we still manufacture TURBO props and also manufacture Stiletto Propellers while operating our full service propeller repair company.

Jim Booe, Founder of Precision Propeller, Inc., began the company from his extensive knowledge of modifying propellers for racing applications.  After repairing props for so many years, Mr. Booe decided to start manufacturing performance propellers for bass boats and pleasure boats.  His Mission was to produce the very best products, sold at fair prices, and delivered on time.

Today, we may have a new name, Precision Propeller Industries, Inc. but we still believe in Mr. Booe’s Mission and use it as our foundation to build for the future.  On July 18, 2008, Precision Propeller, Inc. officially became a part of the Yamaha Marine Group family.  A new name, same experience and same world class propellers offered to our customers, the tradition continues.
